Program 2 – Combined License & B.A.

Procedures and Requirements

Completion of Phase I and Phase II is required to enter Phase III

Complete Phase I

Each candidate must complete the following 5 core courses:
  1. Basic Christian Counseling
  2. Temperament Theory
  3. Testing/Measurement
  4. Temperament Therapy
  5. Christian Counseling: Integrating Temperament and Psychology

Additional Requirements
Complete a practicum. This consists of administering the A.P.S. to 10 individuals and (3) hours of clinical supervision under the direction of an assigned and approved clinical supervisor. Click to create your own A.P.S account

Upon completion of the required courses, submit the following:

  1. Written responses to 50 ethical questions posed by the N.C.C.A.’s Licensing Board of Examiners.
  2. First year’s annual dues.
  3. A signed application for Certification/Membership form.
  4. A signed copy of N.C.C.A.’s Code of Ethical Standards.
  5. Three reference forms provided to you.
  6. Personal resume or bio-sketch
  7. Student’s Photo ID
  8. Statement why you want to be a counselor (found on application)

Upon completion of Phase I requirements, subsequent review and acceptance, the candidate will qualify to receive:

  • a Certified Temperament Counselor certificate and
  • a Clinical Member (non-clergy) or Professional Clinical Member (clergy) certificate, membership card and
    lapel pin
*MINISTERIAL CREDENTIALS

Although you are not required to have any credentials upon initial enrollment of any program, you will however, be required by the N.C.C.A. to obtain clergy credentials prior to completion of Phase II. Obtaining clergy credentials is not part of A Season for All Counseling’s curriculum, however, we will be happy to advise you on how to obtain those credentials for yourself. The current fee for Phase I is $3150.00 this price includes a total of 5 courses, 10 APS reports (assessment tool), first year’s license and membership dues, and 3 hours of supervision. A hardcopy book or a digital book will be included with the course. The courses are self- paced. Exam’s will be taken online and will be the
student’s final grade. A student must receive a grade of 80% or higher to pass. Click for tuition

*Annual membership and certification/license renewal is required to maintain valid N.C.C.A. credentials. Membership is currently $50 per year and license renewal is $20 per year (total $70). A signed affidavit verifying continuing education must be submitted annually for license renewal. You will be notified directly from the N.C.C.A.


Complete Phase II

  1. Mastering Pastoral Counseling
  2. Utilizing Temperament and Case Studies
  3. Counseling the Codependent

Additional Requirements

  • Complete a practicum. This consists of administering the A.P.S. to 15 additional individuals. Click to create your own A.P.S account and (3) hours of clinical supervision under the direction of an assigned and approved clinical supervisor.
  • Upon completion of the required courses, submit the following:
  1. A signed application for N.C.C.A. license.
  2. The Notification and Release Form for Personal National Screening authorizing a national background check to verify each candidate’s history (Candidates with felony convictions do not qualify for licensing with the N.C.C.A.)
  3. Submit current Ministerial Credentials (If not previously submitted)
  4. A certification / licensing fee

Upon completion of Phase II requirements, subsequent review and acceptance, the candidate will qualify to receive:

  • Certified Pastoral Counselor
    (high-school diploma, GED or Associates)
  • Licensed Pastoral Counselor
    (holds a Bachelors)
  • Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor
    (holds a Masters)
  • Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor-Advanced Certification
    (holds a Doctorate)
  • Certified Temperament Pastoral Counselor (Optional)
    (additional $39 fee applies)
These certifications come directly from N.C.C.A.

Complete Phase III

Each candidate must select and complete six (6) advance courses. Click here for a list of the courses.

Additional Requirements
Each Candidate must:

  • Upon completion of the required courses, submit the following:
  1. Written responses to a 500 Question Open Book Equivalency Exam on the Bible (Old and New Testament — KJV) Only if you DO NOT have your Associates degree. Click here to download and save exam to your computer. *Colorado Seminary is the only University that offers a bachelor’s degree
  2. An academic release authorizing A Season for all Counseling and Training Center to transfer all records to the approved university of choice. Matriculation and transfer fees of $1800.00. Click for Academic release form.

The tuition for Program 2 is the base fee of Phase I and II $5,700 plus $5,300 for 6 elective courses, Bible exam and all transfer fees. Click for tuition

After successfully completing all the requirements for Phase III, the candidate will (assuming everything is in order)
receive:

  • a Licensed Pastoral Counselor certificate, card and
  • the Appropriate Advanced Certification certificates for selected specialty areas completed and
  • a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Counseling from *Colorado Seminary school
