Description: Counseling the Sick & Terminally Ill is taught from the perspective of a physician, a counselor and a Christian. The course includes a textbook and workbook. Counseling the Sick & Terminally Ill is illustrated by frequent case histories and relevant biblical references. It builds on a creative counseling model and is provided in concepts that are easy to grasp.

The primary goal of this course is to teach pastoral counselors how to effectively minister to the needs of the sick and terminally ill.

Note: This course leads to Advanced Certification in Death & Grief Therapy if the student completes this course along with the following courses:

  • Counseling for Anger
  • Joy in the Midst of Mourning
  • Counseling Families of Children with Disabilities

The course materials will be shipped to the student’s address on file or you can request digital files.

Please note: The students completing advance courses must receive a grade of 80% or better for course credit to be applied toward an academic degree. Any grade transferred for an advanced course receiving a grade less than 80% will not qualify to be applied to the N.C.C.A. degree transfer program.
