Description: Counseling for Anger addresses proper methods for helping clients find peace and freedom from issues of anger. The course includes a textbook and workbook. Counseling for Anger also helps students better understand the factors of anger, the basis for counseling anger, and to learn how to control and express anger.

The primary goal of this course is to teach pastoral counselors how to effectively minister to the needs of those who are struggling with issues of anger.

Note: This course leads to Advanced Certification in Death & Grief Therapy if the student completes this course along with the following courses:

• Counseling the Sick & Terminally Ill
• Joy in the Midst of Mourning
• Counseling Families of Children with Disabilities

Note: This course leads to Advanced Certification in Crisis & Abuse Therapy if the student completes this course along with the following courses:

• Counseling for Family Violence & Abuse
• Counseling in Times of Crisis
• Counseling the Depressed

Please note: The students completing advance courses must receive a grade of 80% or better for course credit to be applied toward an academic degree. Any grade transferred for an advanced course receiving a grade less than 80% will not qualify to be applied to the N.C.C.A. degree transfer program.
